Layout

The design is noticeably similar to the 8K7A motherboards. They tried to improve the location of the AT power connector by moving it to a different spot. Some people may experience problems when it comes to connecting all the cables, but this is a common occurrence in many motherboards.

Another flaw I noticed, that they didn’t fix, is the placement of the CPU connector. While, I had no problem attaching my HSF combo, other with large heat sinks may experience problems. My suggestion is to test out the placement before you lay down any adhesive or thermal goop.

One very helpful perk is the inclusion of a dual digit LCD at the bottom of the mainboard. The manual contains a list of all the codes that it could display. The listing ranges from standard load settings, to problems if it hangs.

All you OC’ers out there will like the jumper less layout. Everything is controlled via the sleek and powerful award bios. You can control the frequency and multiplier. If all goes wrong and it won’t boot, see what the LCD displays, look it up, and fix the problem!

The most commonly upgraded piece of equipment nowadays is without a doubt, Ram. Epox took a step out in front of other DDR manufacturers by including an extra DIMM slot. The entire board is capable of housing up to 1.5 GHz of ram
